Introduced into the country in the mid-1800s and forming a central position in the country’s economy for more than a century, coffee is currently Nicaragua’s primary export. Grown on mountainside ‘’fincas’’ (farms) at 1100 to 1600 meters above sea level, the coffee from Nicaragua is characteristic of Central American coffee in general although typically milder in acidity.
Our High Roast is the Nicaragua La Illusion. It is strong, and subtle in flavour with balanced sweetness and a nutty bouquet. It gives a punchy Espresso with a bite and great in a filter too.
