Kokeicha is a traditional Japanese tea created from ground green tea, Matcha, mixed with water to a paste. It is then passed through a mesh to create the fine, regular strands that are characteristic of this remarkable tea and resemble pine needles. Kokeicha actually translates to formed tea.

The tea brews to create a pale yellow liquor with a distinctively fresh, nutty flavour. This is a classic, delicious, Japanese tea that any Japanese tea enthusiast is urged to try.
To brew, place one tsp per person in a warmed pot and add fresh, boiled water that has been allowed to cool for one minute. Brew for 60-90 secs and serve without milk.
