Beniamino, the producer of this fine treat, came up with this unique idea whilst visiting a friend who is a limoncello liquor and conserve producer from the Amalfi coast. He uses premium flour, a 40-year-old natural mother yeast, fresh organic egg yolk, butter, and large pieces of candied lemon peel made without added sulphites. He adds lemon marmalade conserve and classic limoncello liqueur from Sorrento on the Amalfi coast.
The dough is worked three times before baking and in total it takes 40 hours to produce!
The end product is a beautifully coloured panettone with inviting buttery and lemon aromas, deliciously soft texture, and a rich creamy limoncello lemon marmalade, just delicious!!!
