Grown on the Indonesian island of Sumatra the Mandheling grows in the Aceh province, particularly the Gayo region. Though not grown at particularly high altitudes it is grown in rich volcanic soil and a tropical climate.
The Mandheling is roasted as a full roast and has a full body, earthy aroma with tones of chocolate and spice.
Best enjoyed in a cafetiere or filter
