Description

Sidamo coffees are known for their rich body and complex acidity. With a floral, slightly woody aroma and notes of citrus and berries. Our Sidamo is medium roasted with a vibrant, fresh and smooth flavour.

Grown in the Province of Sidamo, in the Ethiopian highlands at elevations between 1,500 up to 2,200 meters above sea level. These elevations qualify the beans as Strictly High Grown (SHG) / Strictly Hard Bean (SHB) – elevations that allow the coffee to grow more slowly and therefore have more time to absorb nutrients and develop deeper flavours based on the local climate and soil conditions.

The beans are wet-processed and left to dry on raised beds.

Perfectly brewed slowly in a cafetiere or filter.

Beans: Arabica

Process: Washed

Poor customer service

I have bought more or less the same beans for over 6 years and know the taste quite well - as a coco cola drinker can differentiate between Pepsi. My latest delivery tasted much different and was a different colour. I offered to send it back at my own expense for ACS to examine and try it. The only response
I got was that I received the beans I ordered. End of. This is the second and last time this has happened. I have now sourced a different supplier

Brilliant

This is really tasty and a relaxing coffee. Not one for power trip coffee drinkers. But it sure is funky.

Tasty complex and nostalgic

Reninds me of an Ethiopian Bio coffee I drank daily in a local cafe in Carthage.
Delicious.

Not my favourite - pale and uninteresting

I stupidly bought a kg based on someone else’s review saying best coffee ever etc The perils of on line impulsive shopping ! This is my first disappointment from the Algerian my own fault I bought so much !
I like a medium roast and always buy medium , but this one’s too thin for me - very pale and uninteresting . I wonder if it was under roasted ?
Good thing is I’m having to use more beans so I will get through it quicker and I can return to my normal coffee from the Algerian. Not bad enough to push me back to Monmouth. We live and we learn !
