A lovely tea with very large, twisted leaves, from the Satemwa Estate, Malawi. Made from a blend of 3 Malawian tea cultivars. The large leaves are hand-picked and are smoked at the factory over Guava wood. The smokiness is light, nothing compared to a Lapsang Souchong.
The tea produces an amber liquor with a good body and well-balanced flavour, with only a hint of smoke and sweetness.
Brew with freshly drawn boiled water for 3-5 mins. You can re-steep once.
