A lovely black tea from the Rukeri Estate, Rwanda, an area ideal for tea production as it is at high altitudes up to 8,000 feet, warm and humid with high rainfall. The Rukeri gardens are on fertile, well-drained marshland to the north of the capital Kigali.
This tea is organic, orthodox, and an OP grade.
The dark, large leaves produce a light, golden, copper liquor with a well-rounded, slightly malty flavour.
Use one teaspoon per cup and one for the pot with freshly boiling water and infuse for four minutes. Milk is optional.
