This is currently my favourite coffee.
When ordering I ask for the beans to be ground for my cafetière which seems to guarantee that every cup is nigh on perfect .
I love African coffees. Yirgachef being my fave. This is a lovely coffee, I wasn't sure what to expect, the nose is much earthier than the taste. It smells dark and rich, but actually the flavour is biscuity, like rich tea biscuits flavoured lightly with coffee. It's a refreshing coffee that seems light but packs a punch. Always a surprise and a journey with the African coffees. Would order this again.
Not what I expected but with some advice about mixing it with a darker roast, this worked well!
Tanzanian coffee (and, in my experience, Kenyan, albeit to a lesser extent) ticks both boxes. It has body and the full coffee flavour but also manages to be actively refreshing. That's a rare feat for a coffee.
This version seems almost limitlessly versatile. It works as well as a first thing pick-me-up, as it does mid-morning or after dinner.
