Yunnan Top Grade is one of the finest and most noble Chinese Black Teas hailing from the cloud-veiled mountains of the Yunnan province grown near the Tropic of Cancer.
It boasts beautiful large, golden-tipped leaves and gives a rich, smooth flavour with a touch of fruit and malt. The tea is withered on a bamboo splint where it is spread evenly to ensure average moisture. The tea is then rolled before fermentation. It is then roasted and rolled again in order to get the elaborate leaf shape. Finally, it is dried and put through an electric heating oven to enhance the fragrance.
