This delicate honey is produced from vibrant pink Sulla flowers, an ancient variety of clover, also known as French Honeysuckle or Sweet Vetch, which grows on the hillsides of Sicily. It has a mild floral flavour, with hints of citrus within its sweetness and its light amber liquidity becomes thick-set honey as it crystallises.
Perfect for cooking, sweetening tea, with yoghurt, on toast or to accompany cheese. Great honey for the breakfast table.
For six generations Michele Olivia's family has bred indigenous Sicilian bees and harvested their honey from the wild flowering plants of the Iblei Mountains, in eastern Italy.
