Description

Our Swiss Water Processed Decaff is a Colombian bean available in a High or Medium Roast.

A chemical-free water decaffeination process where the green beans are soaked in very hot water to expand the pores. The water is then passed through an activated charcoal filter which removes the caffeine. Fresh green coffee is then added to the water which ensures that the beans do not lose their flavour but just the caffeine itself. 

This process is environmentally friendly and extracts up to 99.9% of caffeine whilst retaining the distinctive origin and flavour characteristics of the bean.

You don't know how good it is until you try it!

Some years ago I realised that drinking too much strong black coffee (high roast Algerian Special Blend beans) throughout the day was not conducive to a good sleep pattern, but decaffeinated coffee had never appealed to me. However, not wanting to give up on coffee, I noticed on their website that Algerian coffee Stores had some decaffeinated beans and decided to give them a try. What a revelation! The high roast variety has provided me with a comparable alternative that does not keep me awake at night, without any loss of a great flavour.
Unless you try them you'll never know, they might be what you're looking for?

Decaf, but tastes like the real deal

Having just been diagnosed with AFib I needed to get off the caffeine and alcohol. Saw this and having used Algerian Coffee Stores for some years I decided to give this a go. Superb full flavour, you would never know it’s decaf! (unlike the yuk alcohol free beers for my other challenge). Only issue is the beans are quite oily and are clogging up the grinder on my Jura machine so need a little push to help. Highly recommended!

Decaf is amazing!

I mix the high and medium roast 50/50 and it makes a superb coffee. It tastes so good I can’t tell it’s decaffeinated
